Staff holiday planner
A leave record per person with entitlement, carry-over and every request approved, a team planner a quarter per page, and the 2026 and 2027 bank holidays by nation. As a PDF, Word and an Excel workbook.
A daywork sheet records the labour, plant and materials spent on work that is valued by time rather than measured, signed by the client’s representative on the day. This one is signed before the work starts and again on completion, as an editable PDF and a Word document, free to use and reuse.

The sheet number, project, client, date, the variation or instruction the work belongs to, who instructed it, the location, the weather and the supervisor.
Each person with their trade or grade, start, finish, hours and overtime; each item of plant with its hours and hire ticket; each material with the quantity and the delivery ticket.
The client’s representative agrees that the work is daywork and what is to be done, before anyone starts.
The same person signs the hours, plant and materials as a record of what was used, with photographs attached. The pricing is done in the office afterwards.
Daywork is normally valued at the rates and percentages the contract adopts, often the RICS Definition of Prime Cost of Daywork carried out under a Building Contract. The signed sheet is the evidence of the hours and resources; the rates are applied afterwards.
RICS Definition of Prime Cost of Daywork; your own contractThe client’s representative signs the sheet as a record of the time and resources, not as agreement to the value. Most standard forms say so in terms, and the sheet says it too.
JCT and NEC standard forms; check your own contractThe priced daywork goes into the next application for payment as part of the variation it belongs to, with the sum and the basis on which it is calculated.
Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, section 110AA signature before the work starts settles whether it is daywork at all. A signature afterwards only settles how long it took.
The operative records time and resources. The office prices it from the contract’s daywork rates and claims it in the monthly application. The person signing on site is confirming hours, not agreeing money.
The work before, during and after, and the tickets for plant and materials. In Unibuild the daywork sheet takes its hours from the clock-ins on that job, the client signs it on the phone on the day, and it is carried into the variation and the application without being retyped.

One row per person with the expiry of each card and course, a training record per person, and a training needs grid by role. As a PDF, Word and an Excel workbook that turns a date amber at sixty days and red when it passes.
The checks before a subcontractor goes on the approved list: Companies House, CIS verification, insurance, SSIP, the policy, RAMS, competence, right to work, the reverse charge and bank details, then the decision, the register and the review log.
On the platform these stop being sheets. The check, the person, the date, the signature and the action that followed are recorded as the work runs and retrieved by site.
