- What this page covers
- This website only. It does not cover the Unibuild platform itself, where your own organisation is the controller of the data it holds.
An enquiry is the only place
we ask for your details.
The contact, quotation and demonstration forms are the only parts of this site that collect anything identifying you.
- What we store
- Your name, company, email address, telephone number, what your enquiry is about, and your message. Whatever else that particular form asked, such as team size or a preferred time.
- What we attach to it
- How you reached the site, the page you arrived on, the pages you read before enquiring, how long you spent, your device type and your country. This tells us which pages are useful. It does not tell us who you are beyond what you typed.
- Why
- To answer you, and to understand which parts of the site lead to a conversation. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you chose to send us.
- Where it goes
- Our own database and files on UK hosting, and by email to our team through Amazon SES. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone for marketing.
- How long
- Three years, then deleted automatically. Ask sooner and we will delete it sooner.
We count visits without
identifying visitors.
Our own analytics runs on this server. It sets nothing on your device, which is why there is no cookie banner asking you to accept it.
How a visit is recognised without a cookie
Instead of storing who you are, the server makes a one way fingerprint: your IP address and browser description are combined with a secret and today's date, and the result is hashed. The hash cannot be turned back into an address, and because the date is part of it, the same visitor tomorrow produces a completely different value. Your IP address is never written to our database.
The practical consequence is that we can see one person moved through five pages in an afternoon, and we cannot see that they came back three weeks later. We think that is the right trade.
What is recorded
Which pages were requested and in what order, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link you followed, your country as reported by our network provider, whether you were on a phone, tablet or computer, and which browser. If your browser runs our small measurement script, it adds how long the page was actually in front of you, how far down you scrolled, how quickly the page loaded and rendered, what you clicked, and any errors the page produced.
Requests from search engine and AI crawlers are recorded separately from people.
What is not recorded
No IP addresses. No names or email addresses, unless you typed them into a form. Nothing that follows you to any other website. No profiling, no advertising audiences, and nothing sold or shared with data brokers.
How long
Individual page records are kept for about thirteen months and then deleted. Counts by day, with nothing identifying in them, are kept indefinitely so we can compare one year against another.
Ours set none.

- No cookies, and nothing stored on your device. Nothing to accept and nothing to refuse.
- Google Analytics
- This site also runs Google Analytics 4, which does set cookies on your device and sends data to Google. If you would rather it did not, block it with your browser settings, a content blocker, or Google's own opt-out add-on. Blocking it does not affect the site.
- Cloudflare
- Our network provider may set a cookie to keep the site secure and available. It is not used to track you across sites.
- Spam protection
- Our forms carry a signed token to stop automated submissions. It is part of the page, not stored on your device.
Ask, and we will act on it.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it at all. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month, usually much sooner.
In practice, the only thing we are likely to hold about you is an enquiry you sent us. The analytics record cannot be traced back to an individual, so there is nothing there for us to retrieve or delete on request.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Others who process data for us
Amazon Web Services for sending email, Cloudflare for security and delivery, Google for Google Analytics, and our UK hosting provider. Each is bound to process data only as instructed.
