- Appointed where more than one contractor is involved. Plans, manages and monitors the construction phase, draws up the construction phase plan, secures the site and organises cooperation between contractors.
- Designer
- Eliminates foreseeable risks so far as reasonably practicable when preparing or modifying a design, and provides information about remaining risks.
- Contractor
- Plans, manages and monitors their own work, and does not start on site until they are satisfied the necessary welfare and the construction phase plan are in place.
