Site services

Power, water and welfare,
before the job starts.

The three services a site cannot open without, what each one costs to put in, and the compliance estate that sits behind them once it is running.

Site services, in one place.

Temporary site services are priced as though they were plant hire and inspected as though they were a permanent installation, which is where firms in this business lose money. A temporary electrical supply is inspected on a three month cycle. A temporary water system needs disinfecting and sampling before anybody drinks from it. Welfare is a legal requirement with a named schedule behind it, not a courtesy.

These articles take one service each, and they are written from the operational end rather than the sales end. Unibuild has run a temporary site services business since 2016, which is where the detail comes from.

The services estate, on one register.

A temporary supply is a job to install on Monday and a compliance obligation from the day it energises. Unibuild holds the installation, its inspection cycle and the certificate behind it against the site it serves, and every date on it is watched rather than remembered.
