Section 110A(1)The sum the payer considers to be or to have been due at the payment due date, and the basis on which that sum is calculated. The sum may be zero.
Section 110A(2) and (4)The payee may give their own notice in default, and the final date for payment is postponed by the number of days it was late.
Section 110BWhere the contract does not comply, the Scheme for Construction Contracts supplies the terms.

Send it the way your contract says notices are given, within five days of the due date, and keep proof of when it arrived.
