Cookies.
Almost none.
Most marketing sites are loaded with tracking cookies from a dozen ad networks. We don't run any. The pages you are reading set no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no fingerprinting. This page tells you exactly what is and isn't set, and what you can do about it.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They can be useful (remembering you are logged in) or invasive (following you across the web for advertising). Under UK PECR rules, only "strictly necessary" cookies can be set without your consent — anything else needs a banner.
What we set on the marketing site
On the public pages of unibuild.co.uk, we set no cookies of our own. No analytics, no advertising, no remarketing pixels, no fingerprinting. The pages are static PHP, served from the UK, with no tracking middleware.
What might be set by third parties
Two third-party services are loaded on the marketing site:
- Google Fonts — used for the Inter and Geist typefaces. Google Fonts itself does not set cookies, but your IP address is transmitted to fonts.gstatic.com to load the font files.
- Fillout — the embedded demo-booking form on /book-a-demo/. When you load that page, Fillout may set cookies of its own to operate the form. We've reviewed their policy and they do not use those cookies for advertising.
Inside the platform
Once you sign in to the Unibuild platform, we set strictly necessary session cookies — without these you couldn't stay logged in. These are first-party, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, and expire on logout or after 30 days of inactivity.
How to manage cookies
You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from staying signed in to the platform. Blocking third-party cookies will not affect any of the marketing pages other than the demo-booking form on /book-a-demo/.
Why there's no banner
UK PECR rules require a consent banner only if you set non-essential cookies. We don't, so we don't show a banner. If we ever add analytics we'll add the banner at the same time, and you'll be able to decline.
Changes
When we change what cookies are set we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Older versions on request.
